Looking for a Fun Spring Break Destination?

Spring break is going to be here before we all know it. For college students looking for a fun destination, Panama City, Florida has a lot to offer. It has been one of the Spring Break hot spots for quite some time.

Even if you aren’t able to go this year, there is always next year. Knowing what to expect when there is something that can help plan the trip. For instance, you do need a place to stay. Even if you plan the trip late, there are still plenty of hotels to handle practically any budget.

So what can you expect when visiting Panama City during spring break? You can expect a lot. For instance, there are TV shoots, parties, and contests. You can expect it to be quite crowded, but the crowds are flocking to practically every Atlantic and Golf Coast beach, such as Myrtle, Daytona, Miami, and so many more.

As for what there is to enjoy, there are superclubs and hotels that bring in some major entertainment, celebrity appearances, rap stars, rock stars, and concerts. Some of these concerts are even free. And it’s not out of the question to mingle with a celebrity. Celebrities that have visited Panama City Beach in the past include Ryan Reynolds, Tara Reid, and Steve-O.

But it doesn’t stop there. Just like any spring break destination, there is a lot of alcohol going around. Everyone is just asked to be responsible. Being responsible means having a good time and also being coherent enough to see some of the wild and crazy contests that take place. In the past, there have been contests such as salsa wrestling in which the winner won $1,000. Of course, there are bikini contests and such. Why are some people so willing to jump into these contests? It’s because there are cash prizes to be won.

But let’s get more into the lodging options. You have plenty of high rise hotels to choose from. Of course, you want to be as close to the heart of the party as possible. Then again, there are some that like to be a little further away so that they can enjoy some quiet time. The beach is large enough that it is rather easy to get away from the crowds.

Anyway, if you are going to be going on spring break with a number of friends, you can rent a beach house. Many of these houses have pools right on the beach. When a group of friends go everyone is able to split the cost to make the trip more affordable.

I have been to Panama City Beach, but not during spring break. As a matter of fact, I always stayed home due to being a cash strapped college student. However, many of my college friends, as well as some of my current friends still in college, come back to tell me of the wild and crazy things they have seen, as well as the people they meet. I tend to feel a tinge of jealousy and wish I could turn back the clock ten years. Unfortunately, I haven’t invented that time machine yet.
